Grinnin' at Granite, or really the battle at Getty Grinnin' at Granite, or really the battle at Gettysburg for our team - second year in a row turned into a dust bowl race that came with exciting victories, personal achievements and firsts for all of our team mates, but also with some battle wounds and losses in both the middle and high school categories, as some riders experienced some unfortunate crashes and others end their race with mechanicals.
Nevertheless we saw some impressive racing on both days!
Give a hand to our students who achieved a podium finish:

MS Advanced - Evan Lichtenwalner took home 1st place in a finish line sprint! Congratulations!
MS Girls 8th grade - Harlow Pesesko earned 3rd place, a fantastic comeback from a long off season & medical recovery. Well done!
MS Girls 7th grade - Addie Meier took 4th place! Exciting to see her back on the podium after an unfortunate crash after the start in her first race this season.
HS Girls JV3 - Evie Scholz once again landed in 5th position!

 Congratulations to all!
Our Lehigh Valley teams headed to Lackawanna State Our Lehigh Valley teams headed to Lackawanna State Park for our @pamtbrace Adventure Weekend a second year in a row. We absolutely love the trails and possibilities for outdoor fun, off the bike adventure activities and bonding for our teammates and coaches. With any luck, it'll be even better next year!
A special thank you to @padcnr who are the source of many of our loaner bikes in our fleet. Without this grant, it wouldn't be possible for many to enjoy your trails as part of our team and by mountain bike.

Our 2025 Teen Trail Corps weekend was kicked off b Our 2025 Teen Trail Corps weekend was kicked off by some of our students working on trails at a private property on Friday and then continued today, when 16 students, coaches and volunteers spent their morning at Jacobsburg State Park trails, working together with VMB @valleymountainbikers trail crew Serge Viau as our guide, cleaning out some overgrown vegetation at this @padcnr park.
Including pre-season trail work hours, this brings the team to a combined 126 volunteer hours so far. More trail work is scheduled for Jordan Creek Parkway and Trex again in coming weeks.
